We adhere to strict data minimization principles. We only collect data necessary to provide our social synchronization services:

• Account Credentials: Username, email address, and hashed authentication tokens.
• Profile & Identity: Public mascot avatar preferences, favorite teams, trophy showcase selections, and comment skins.
• User-Generated Content: Comments, replies, upvotes/reactions, and watch party messages.
• Social Interactions: Follow relationships, blocked accounts, and user reports.
• Viewing Activity: Explicitly tracked watchlist and watch history items created by you.

3. Microphone & Audio Sync (Critical Privacy Safeguard)

eqqo offers an ambient acoustic synchronization feature to detect playback timestamps in media:

• Transient Processing Only: Audio captured by your device microphone is processed instantaneously in volatile device memory to compute cryptographic fingerprint hashes.
• Never Recorded or Transmitted: We DO NOT record, store, or transmit raw audio recordings or human voice conversations to our servers or any third parties. Acoustic hashes are strictly evaluated against media timecode indices in real time and discarded immediately.

4. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Deliver real-time synchronized discussions, watch parties, and live scoreboard experiences.
• Enforce community safety, block offensive content, and process user moderation reports.
• Sync your profile across authorized mobile and desktop devices.

Personal Information Safeguard: We DO NOT sell, rent, or trade your personally identifiable information (such as your name, email, or credentials) to third-party data brokers or advertisers.

Aggregated & Anonymized Industry Insights: We may analyze collective, non-personally identifiable usage patterns, comment volume, and engagement timing to produce aggregated market research and media sentiment trends. We may share or license these anonymized, aggregated insights with broadcast partners, content creators, and media research organizations. These reports never contain your identity, personal contact details, or individual user credentials.

5. Third-Party Services & Attribution

eqqo integrates with trusted third-party providers for authentication and metadata:

• Google Sign-In & Apple Sign-In: Used solely for identity verification.
• The Movie Database (TMDb): Used for public media metadata and artwork.
• External Sports Data Registries: Used for public live scoreboards and sports scheduling.

6. Account & Data Deletion

You retain complete control over your data. You may permanently delete your account and all associated comments, history, and preferences at any time directly within the app:

Settings > Account & Security > Delete Account

Upon confirmation, all personal records, authentication credentials, and user data are permanently expunged from our production databases.
